Be a Mentor

Instead of editors, our journal engages mentors. Mentors work with authors/artists to develop their submission, nurture their autonomy and creativity, and build their skills and confidence in anti-racism work. This includes engaging in discussions around intersections within our positionality and thinking about emotional/creative expressions as racialised minorities. For example, self-censorship in publishing – where we mute ourselves and why.

Mentors and journal contributors will collaboratively agree on the context of their engagement through the submission process and how frequently they will meet.
